Wilfrid Obeng and Christian Facey co-found Audiomob in 2020 after meeting at Google. They raise $1.5M in seed funding from Supernode, Atomico and leading angel investors. Wilfrid leads the development of audio ad technology, helping shape the product and scale the company from inception.
Wilfrid Obeng and Christian Facey launch Audiomob to redefine game monetisation. Audiomob pioneers non-intrusive audio ads that let developers earn without disrupting gameplay moving beyond formats like rewarded video and interstitials.
Wilfrid joins Google in London as a Customer Solutions Engineer. He develops tools and dashboards to help advertisers run and track campaigns on Google Ad Exchange and Display & Video 360, using technologies like SQL, Java, and JavaScript.
Wilfrid joins Google in Dublin as a Programmatic Account Strategist, leading digital marketing strategy for clients including Amazon, Hilton, Intercontinental, Hertz, and HomeAway. He drives campaign performance across the programmatic ad ecosystem and builds automation tools using JavaScript, SQL and HTML.
Wilfrid invited by the US Embassy to attend President Barack Obama’s speech at Lindley Hall, in recognition of his work as an ambassador for the Amos Bursary.
Wilfrid named one of the UK’s top 10 Computer Science students in the Undergraduate of the Year Awards.
Wilfrid receives the Outstanding Student Award from Pure Potential, recognising his academic excellence and commitment beyond the classroom through his passion for Computer Science.
Wilfrid Obeng joins Google in London as a Cloud Intern, working on Google Docs, Calendar, Sheets, and Slides. He builds a Chrome extension to automate note-taking by creating and sharing a document with all event attendees via Google Drive.
Worked with the Digital Recruitment team to find candidates who specialised in Android, Python and iOS development. Contacted candidates to develop rapport and insight, helping to place them in appropriate roles.
Managed Bloomberg ambassador teams across university campuses in England, France, Spain and Czech Republic. Responsible for promoting the Bloomberg Aptitude Test, Bloomberg Market Concepts and Bloomberg careers across campuses, and securing student participation in test sessions.
Developed 4 Android apps for the Retail, Media, Manufacturing and Hospitality verticals which allowed clients to use Google Sheets as a backend; a free alternative to traditional database backends. Created using Java, JSON and App Script.
I was named as one of the top 10 students from the Afro-Caribbean community within the UK. This was awarded by a panel of judges including Tom Chigbo, Adrian Joseph, David Lammy MP, Trevor Phillips OBE and Jean Tomlin OBE.
Worked within the financial reporting sub group to ensure the timely delivery of regulatory information. Developed a dashboard that visually represented the health of derivative reporting pipelines.
I was selected as one of the future leaders within the Afro-Caribbean community by Powerful Media after shortlisting and interviews.
Planned and developed innovative advertising and marketing campaigns across campus for a charity that addresses educational disadvantage, by transforming exceptional graduates and experienced professionals into effective teachers.
I was awarded the Beyond Outstanding Student award from the Amos Bursary for my academic and corporate achievement. This award was presented by the actor, Alan Rickman.
2 month internship at Excelian a technology consultancy specialising within Financial Services, Utilities & the Energy industry. Modified existing software to create a Universal Backup Image for use across all laptops deployed; automating the installation of Windows via LAN, hardware specific drivers, company software and the registration of staff members.
Created a frontend for a banking application; which effectively turned raw sales data into clear structured data via a volatility calculator and then into a graph.
Gained an Internship at one of the largest website creation agencies Fuse8, where I was given the responsibility of designing and coding website elements for large scale projects.
